The Curing Process.
Trimming
In this process the tire is inspected and any excess rubber is trimmed off and sealed to prepare it for the curing process.
After the tire passes through it's last visual inspection, it is put into the chamber where it will cure at 265 degrees at 80 psi for a predetermined amount of time, based on the amount of rubber added to the casing.
All of our chambers are controlled through a computerized program to insure that each tire is cured properly.
All tires are placed into a pressurized vessel chamber or "kettle" which cures the tires.
There are three factors involved in curing
T
The thickness of the casing and the amount of new rubber laid on the tire will determine the amount of time required in the chamber. Tires continuously rotate on rollers...
While the tires are in the chamber they continuously rotate on rollers with the chamber charged at 80psi and heated to 265 degrees Fahrenheit.....
