Skiving Process
T he buffed surface is thoroughly inspected for any hidden defects that would prevent the tire to be retreaded or repaired.
A n air tool is used to seek out any cuts or penetrations in the buffed surface.

- The damage is removed leaving a smooth texture without scorching the rubber surface.
- Any damaged wire filament is grounded off with an aluminum oxide grindstone.
- All steel cables are cut clean and flush with solid rubber.
Note: Your tires are thoroughly Inspected at every station throughout our retread process. So any major defects that were not found during the initial inspection are either fixed, if possible, or the tire will be sent back to the owner with a thorough explanation.
